Ponomarenko Vladimir Ivanovich

Biography

V.I. Ponomarenko was born on November, 8th, 1960 in Saratov, Russia. In 1977 he graduated from the school No 2 in Engels. In 1982 he graduated from Saratov State University, Department of Physics, Chair of Electronics. Since 1984 he has been working in Saratov Branch of the Institute of RadioEngineering and Electronics of Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1992 V.I. Ponomarenko received a degree of Candidate of Sciences (analogue of PhD) in physics and mathematics from Saratov University. The thesis entitled "Multistability and chaos in high-dimensional systems (nonlinear radiotechnical oscillators, RC-oscillator with high-dimensional filter)" was defended under the supervision of Prof. B.P. Bezruchko. In 1996 he received an academic status of Senior Researcher. Since 1999 V.I. Ponomarenko holds a position of assistant professor in Saratov State University, in 1999-2005 on the Chair of Electronics, Oscillation and Waves, and from 2005 on the Chair of Dynamic Modelling and Biomedical Engineering (Department of Nano- and Biomedical technologies). In 2008 he received a degree of Doctor of Sciences. Thesis title: "Experimental realization, reconstruction and investigation of the nonlinear dynamic models (discrete time systems and time delay systems)". He is the lecturer of the courses "Informatics: technical equipment".

In 2005 under his supervision A.B. Bespyatov defended the Candidate work in physics and mathematics.

V.I. Ponomarenko is an author of more then 150 papers. He participated in many Russian and international conferences (CHAOS (1998, 2001, 2004), Schools on Electronics and Radiophysics (beginning from 1986), Nonlinear Theory and its Applications (NOLTA 1998), Schools on Nonlinear Waves (Nizhny Novgorod)).

In 2002 he visited Potsdam University, group of Prof. A. Pikovsky, for joint research work.

	Model equation reconstruction from time series.
	Experimental modelling of complex systems.
	Processing of the signals of the medical and biological systems.
